Terms of use

Version 2026-09-16 · Effective September 16, 2026

Plain-language summary: OPM introduces homeowners to independent providers. Homeowners choose whom to contact or hire and remain responsible for checking credentials and project terms.

1. Who operates this service

Okanagan Project Match (OPM) is operated by Kerrigan Golinowski in British Columbia, Canada. Questions and legal notices may be sent to okanaganprojectmatch@gmail.com. OPM is a project-introduction service, not a construction contractor.

2. Eligibility and authority

You must have legal capacity to use this service. By submitting a request, you confirm that the information is truthful and that you are the homeowner, an authorized occupant, or otherwise authorized to request information about the project and share any submitted content.

3. What OPM provides

OPM reviews submitted project information and may introduce a homeowner to no more than the homeowner-selected limit of one, two, or three participating independent service providers. Introduced providers are expected to use the homeowner’s selected contact method. The homeowner may choose one provider—or none. A submission does not guarantee an introduction, response, quote, availability, price, project acceptance, or completed work.

4. Independent providers

Service providers are independent businesses. They are not OPM employees, agents, partners, franchisees, insurers, or representatives. OPM does not negotiate or enter the homeowner-provider contract and does not supervise, direct, warrant, or insure the work.

5. Checking a provider

Information displayed about a provider may include information reported by that provider. Unless a status is expressly labelled as independently checked with a verification date, it has not been independently verified by OPM. Before hiring, homeowners must assess suitability and confirm current references, licences, certifications, insurance, WorkSafeBC status, permits, written scope, price, warranty, safety practices, and other requirements applicable to the work.

6. Contact permission and privacy

OPM will use and disclose personal information as described in the Privacy Policy and the permission selected in the request form. A homeowner who selects review-first contact controls must release contact information before a provider receives it. Providers may use released information only to assess and discuss the submitted project.

7. User information and uploaded content

Do not submit unlawful, misleading, abusive, automated, or third-party requests without authority. Do not upload identification, financial or medical records, access codes, images of children, or unrelated personal information. You grant OPM a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, reproduce, and disclose submitted content only as reasonably necessary to operate the request, protect the service, and meet legal obligations.

8. Quotes, contracts, and disputes

All estimates, contracts, deposits, payments, schedules, permits, warranties, safety obligations, and disputes concerning project work are between the homeowner and provider. OPM is not responsible for resolving those matters, although it may review a report concerning misuse of its service.

9. Prohibited use

You may not scrape the service, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with security, impersonate another person, publish private lead information, use the service for unlawful discrimination or harassment, or use project information for unrelated solicitation.

10. Emergencies

This website is not an emergency service. For an immediate threat to life, safety, property, utilities, or the environment, contact 911, the applicable utility or authority, or a qualified emergency provider directly.

11. Availability and account action

OPM may decline, remove, pause, or restrict a request or account that is incomplete, unsafe, unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, outside the service area, or contrary to these terms. The service may be changed, interrupted, or discontinued, and data may be preserved where reasonably required for security, disputes, or legal obligations.

12. Disclaimers and responsibility

OPM provides the introduction service on an as-available basis. To the extent permitted by law, OPM is not responsible for indirect, special, incidental, or consequential loss arising from dealings between a homeowner and provider. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Intellectual property

The OPM name, branding, site design, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership or authorize copying, republication, or commercial use beyond normal use of the service.

14. Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder continues. OPM may update these terms prospectively; the version shown when a request is submitted governs that submission unless a change is required by law.
